Arverne Beach Robe
It's no secret that I'm in L-O-V-E with Lion Brand's Jeans yarn. Not only does it come in all of my favorite cool-tone colors, it is incredibly soft and durable and perfect for summertime garments. As I planned out this latest crochet pattern in collaboration with Lion Brand, I wanted to design something that was a) easy to throw on at the beach, b) simple to resize, and c) inspired by the ocean.
What I landed on was this ombré beach robe that fades like the tides of the sea and has a lovely slimming effect. I love how the colors get deeper toward the center of the body just like the ocean gets darker as you get farther from the shore. And then to top it off - who doesn't love a tassel belt!? The Arverne Beach Robe will definitely be accompanying me on many a trip to the beach. You can find the free pattern below, or click here to purchase a printable, ad-free version. You can also purchase a kit direct from Lion Brand that contains all of the yarn you'll need to complete this beauty.

With right side facing up, join color B along right center front edge, 4”/10cm above hem.

Belt:
Using color B, ch 211 (221, 231). Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across row.
To make tassels, cut forty 12”/30.5cm lengths and four 18”/46cm lengths of color C. Divide the 12”/ 30.5cm lengths into two groups of 20. Tie each bundle at the middle point with one of the 18”/ 46cm lengths. Fold each bundle in half so that the tie is at the tip of the loop created with the fold. Tie crosswise around each folded bundle about 1⁄2”/1.25cm below top of fold with remaining 18”/ 46cm lengths. Wrap the tails of the ties around and around the bundles and then thread them inside and down the middle of the bundles with a tapestry needle.
Tie the tops of the tassels onto the ends of the belt and knot to secure. Thread the tails inside and down the middle of the tassels using a tapestry needle. Trim tassels to desired length. Join color A at one side seam at waistline. Ch tightly for 1.5”/4cm, tie off and secure end to side seam to form belt loop. Rep on other side seam.
