THE LEGION COWL
I've been dying to design a bulky weight version of my uber popular Armor Scarf using Hue + Me, and the addition of Dirty Chartreuse to the palette gave me the perfect excuse to use this color and update the pattern to have a gorgeous, refined i-cord edging that would really polish it off. The Armor Scarf has been my favorite winter accessory since I designed it 12 years ago (!!!) and I'm thrilled to have this updated version.
Part cowl, part poncho, part hood … it's so versatile and effortlessly chic! I love wearing it plopped over a leather jacket or layered under a puffer coat. Worked entirely in garter stitch aside from the i-cord bits, it's such a great project for a new-ish knitter since the drama of it makes it look and feel so impactful. I even included links to video tutorials for the i-cord bind off and outer edging in the pattern, so if those parts sound intimidating, I got you covered!
THE SKIPPER STRIPED ROMPER
With classic stripes and a polo collar, this nautical-inspired sweater bubble romper is both cozy and chic! Refined details like a double knit placket and bound edges make this heritage piece extra special.
SINGLE SKEIN, SINGLE AFTERNOON PROJECTS!
After getting a sneak peek at Lion Brand’s Shaggy Chic back in February, I’ve been waiting for the day to share this super fun yarn with you! LB was kind enough to send some samples my way a couple weeks ago, so I immediately dove in and whipped up my first of many projects - the Cher and Dionne Crossbody Purses! Each project takes only one skein of this special yarn and can be completed in a single afternoon - perfect for an impromptu date night.
THE CREMA BLANKET
Allow the magic of color changing yarn and a fun textured stitch to do all of the work with this meditative project. The thick fabric comes together quickly and results in a warm and cozy hug of a blanket. Written for seven sizes from baby to king size bed, you’ll want one for every room of the house!
MADE ENTIRELY OF SQUARES
Constructed entirely of crocheted squares, the Helios Poncho is named for the Greek god of the sun due to the sunburst pattern created with both the stitches and color change yarn. This easy level pattern is the perfect on-the-go project as you can make one square at time and seam them together later. Wear your poncho over a simple tank in warmer weather or layer it up over a turtleneck once the temperatures dip!
Introducing COLOR THEORY, a worsted weight, super soft 100% acrylic yarn in 18 gorgeous colors that's designed to work through all of the seasons. Since launching Hue + Me with Lion Brand in Sept 2020, the # 1 request we received was for a lighter weight yarn with a similar sophisticated mix-and-match palette. So last summer we got to work and started going through dozens of samples, ideas, iterations, and colors to create a brand new yarn.
We took extra care to be incredibly considerate and thoughtful with every choice and aspect of this yarn as we developed it to make it the absolute best for all of you. Our mission with Color Theory was to create a yarn with a year round appeal so that no matter what climate you live in, or what season it may be, you would be equipped with a beautiful yarn suitable for an endless amount of projects.
